Dietary changes of late years gave us much more
effects than we expected. For example, because of dietary changes, there is a
huge difference in the physical builds between children fifty years ago and children
today. Why has our eating habits been changed? I guess one of the biggest
reasons is globalization. We can access other countries’
food easily even though we are in our own countries. The second reason may be
the change of life style. As result of the fact that people are busier than before,
we started to use microwave and go to restaurants more often than before.
Most people got some good advantages of this
diet changing. As I was saying, recently, we can go to some various type of food
easily. It makes our quality life much better as dietary habit is one of the
most important things in our life. Some people choose their own eating habits
in order to show their own principle. Vegetarian and fruitarian are good
illustrations of this.
On the other hand, diet changing has some
disadvantages. As we have much more junk food restaurants than before, a lot of
children and some adult people who are not good at controlling themselves can
access such kind of food easily. Consequently, we got some social problems regarding obesity
of people.
As described above, We cannot say dietary changing is always good thing and
we cannot say it is always bad thing. Of course, we cannot stop social changing
including diet habits. At least we can say it is important for us to gather a
lot of information and knowledge by ourselves in order to avoid disadvantage of
dietary changing.
